Your Role and Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate profound knowledge in Economic Sanctions and Financial Crime.
  • Continuously monitor developments in financial crime and sanctions, ensuring that our practices align with regulatory changes.
  • Effectively interpret and apply relevant legislation and regulations, including those from PRA, FCA, and Lloyd's, to ensure compliance across our international operations.
  • Develop and uphold robust Financial Crime control frameworks while conducting regular risk assessments.
  • Facilitate the professional growth of team members by sharing expertise in Financial Crime.
  • Serve as a primary liaison for AIG with our Financial Crime Group, fostering strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Adopt a proactive stance in compliance risk management, identifying and reporting on compliance risks and controls.
  • Collaborate with the Compliance team on broader advisory and assurance matters, assisting in the execution of the Annual Compliance Plan.
  • Prepare periodic and ad hoc reports for regulatory bodies.
  • Engage in projects to provide valuable advisory and compliance assurance services.
  • Participate in internal committees and working groups as needed.
  • Deliver Compliance training to both existing staff and new hires.

Qualifications for Success

  • Extensive experience in Financial Crime and sanctions, particularly within the UK and international insurance context.
  • Proven track record in compliance roles.
  • Experience within the Lloyd's market is a plus.
  • Willingness to share knowledge and expertise with colleagues.
  • Exceptional communication skills and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
