Audit & Assurance Specialist – Commodities Trading
Salary: £90,000 - £100,000 per annum + bonus + package
Location: London based with hybrid working
About the Role:
The successful applicant for this role will be a pivotal member of the highly regarded Audit and Assurance team at a FTSE 100 business in the commodities trading and mining industry. The team prides itself on its ability to safeguard the company's value through innovative and positive change.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide risk and assurance expertise on matters related to Market Conduct Risk within Commodities Trading.
- Lead on audit strategy for marketing compliance areas such as market conduct, counterparty onboarding, trade surveillance and trading patterns.
- Work with audit colleagues to remediate, test and continuously improve the internal controls framework.
- Perform continuous risk monitoring and stay abreast of all emerging risks in the field, being able to provide technical insights to the business when needed.
- Develop strong relationships with stakeholders with a view to understanding the risk profile of the group to as great an extent as possible.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate for this role will be a qualified Audit or Controls professional with expertise in Market Conduct Risk within Commodities Trading. The candidate will need to have worked within mining, oil & gas or another commodities sector. Our client is hoping to find someone with at least several years' experience in this discipline.
