Audit & Risk Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Audit Manager to join a FTSE 100 business in the commodities trading and mining industry.

The successful candidate will be a pivotal member of the Audit and Assurance function, which prides itself on its ability to safeguard the company's value through innovative and positive change.

The primary responsibility of the role will be to provide risk and assurance expertise on matters related to Market Conduct Risk within Commodities Trading.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading on audit strategy for marketing compliance areas such as market conduct, counterparty onboarding, trade surveillance and trading patterns.
  • Working with audit colleagues to remediate, test and continuously improve the internal controls framework.
  • Performing continuous risk monitoring and staying abreast of all emerging risks in the field.
  • Providing technical insights to the business when needed.

The ideal candidate will be a qualified Audit or Controls professional with expertise in Market Conduct Risk within Commodities Trading.

They will need to have worked within mining, oil & gas or another commodities sector, with at least several years' experience in this discipline.

This is a business-facing role, requiring strong relationships with stakeholders to understand the risk profile of the group to the greatest extent possible.
