Position Overview

The Yvonne Lewis Group is seeking a Senior Audit Consultant to enhance our expanding team.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will primarily collaborate with the audit division on a varied client portfolio, which includes entrepreneurial owner-managed enterprises, affluent individuals, and select public interest entities. You will also engage in specialized assignments as they arise.

  • Oversee the audit process for each engagement, reporting directly to the relevant manager or partner.
  • Ensure the production of precise draft financial statements with minimal outstanding queries, along with a well-organized audit file in a timely and systematic manner.
  • Act as the on-site senior, responsible for the planning, execution (including compliance and substantive testing), and completion of audit tasks to a high standard.
Team Leadership
  • Effectively supervise semi-senior and junior staff, providing training and guidance during audits.
  • Assume full responsibility for each audit assignment, ensuring the completion of the audit.
Quality Assurance
  • Prepare and implement high-quality work programs.
  • Produce draft financial statements from various client records, along with a well-presented audit file (paperless) for review.
  • Audit tax computations.
  • Deliver audit outputs within specified budget timelines.
  • Manage general office-based duties as required.
  • Engage in ad hoc specialized assignments as they arise.
Qualifications
  • Qualified ACA or ACCA.
  • Experience in accounts preparation.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of financial reporting, accounting standards, auditing standards, and company law.
  • Good foundational knowledge of corporate and personal tax to facilitate draft tax computations.
  • Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Flexible approach with the ability to prioritize workloads effectively.
  • Familiarity with Pro-Audit, CCH, and Microsoft Office Products, particularly Excel.
