Business Support Administrator
Safety Net is a charity supporting the recovery of those affected by rape, exploitation, sexual and domestic abuse across Cumbria. We offer advice, support, counselling, therapy and group work to adults, children and young people, who have been affected by abuse and trauma. This role is pivotal to ensuring the seamless operation of our service, with a significant focus on managing daily office and building administration tasks and supporting service delivery.
We're seeking an efficient and organised individual with strong IT proficiency, and a good working knowledge of databases and MS Excel.
Daily duties:
* Office Management: Provide high-quality administrative support.
* Share responsibility for the, buildings, building maintenance, health and safety , purchasing, Petty cash, utilities and cleanliness standards are monitored and managed efficiently.
* Manage room bookings and office calendars, ensuring efficient processes for each.
* Support coordination of induction process and training for new trustees, staff and volunteers.
* Take the lead of health and safety for staff, volunteers and trustees, meet mandatory learning and development requirements.
* Offer assistance to the leadership team as needed with staff case management and support the Tier 4 service Volunteer Coordinator, groups and befriending projects.
* Communication: warmly welcome and show compassion to all staff, clients, trustees and agencies. Answer queries,uphold Safety Net’s branding standards
* Maintain essential documentation,ensure accuracy and consistency in referrals from other agencies, based on our eligibility criteria.
* Manage the case management system, regularly audit the system.
* Data monitoring and contract management support in gathering and producing statistics, records and reports required by funders.
Knowledge and experience:
* Business related Administration qualification or educated to A level standard or equivalent
* Excellent computing skills including databases, Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint and practical hands-on office administrative experience
* Familiarity with data collection, monitoring and reporting.
Skills and abilities:
* Excellent oral and written communication skills, including a pleasant and effective telephone manner. Ability to confidently convey information to the team, using different formats and platforms.
* Excellent time management and organisation skills
* Self-starter with the ability to use their initiative and judgement
* Able to maintain discretion and confidentiality with an understanding of professional boundaries
* Ability to take notes at meetings and produce concise, accurate minutes and reports
* Have a full, clean driving license and access to transport
* Ability to read, hear and discuss the work within a domestic and sexual abuse arena
* Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends, as required

* Right to work and live in England
