Job Description:

SUMMARY
The Marketing Engagement Lead is responsible for driving change within brand/pillar marketing teams to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

Possessing a broad marketing background, especially in the digital realm, coupled with a love of data, the Strategic Marketing Lead champions delivering value and driving change.

A strategic and curious leader, the Marketing Engagement Lead works with business marketers to leverage data driven marketing decisions, optimize ways of working, and track success.


The Marketing Engagement Lead has an open and inquiring mind focused on uncovering marketing pain points and challenges, leaning into data insights and turning them into opportunities and commercial success.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Uncover opportunities for audience growth as well as engagement and conversion optimization through working with business stakeholders, marketing data analysts and other members of the Marketing Innovation team.
  • Create and maintain a consistent set of metrics for tracking both adoption and activation success (revenue and audience growth).
  • Strong understanding of Informa businesses (events and media services). Ability to uncover pillar specific nuances and to leverage that knowledge to enable true business change.
  • Drive value into business pillars by coaching and inspiring business teams to take ownership of optimized ways of working based on data driven decisions. Working alongside the businesses, provide guidance, materials and knowledge, while maintaining a clear focus on enabling rather than project management or delivery.
  • Share in the responsibility for maintaining and updating a centralized portal focused on the IIRIS Marketing Platform, audience development best practices, and marketing technology optimization.
  • Assist with developing and distributing communications centred on the IIRIS Marketing Platform.
  • Leverage understanding of people, process, data, and technology to deliver commercial goals and objectives.
  • Encourage a culture of continuous improvement.

SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Extensive experience in digital marketing channels including paid media, programmatic, SEO and content marketing, and marketing automation
  • Consulting or agency experience
  • Able to explain audience development and marketing optimization concepts clearly and meaningfully to a nontechnical or mixed audience
  • Experience managing or working as a peer in a senior team
  • Training experience preferred, not required
  • Experience working in a culturally diverse, global organisation
  • Able to demonstrate excellent relationship management and influencing
  • Expert level planning and organizing skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
