These are really interesting times for Feed Up Warm Up, a multi award winning homeless, food and clothes bank charity that offers food, friendship and support to homeless (or those at risk of homelessness), and those managing' at or well below the poverty line, in Hertfordshire.


Together with its founder and over 30 amazing volunteers, FUWU also manages outreach work sending teams into our community to offer direct support where it's needed most signposting to relevant housing, mental health, therapy, drug and alcohol services.


Responsible for:
Administrative Support, Bookkeeping.

Purpose:

  • The primary role of the Charity Administrator is to provide a full range of administrative and bookkeeping duties.
  • To support to the Charity, Feed Up Warm Up
  • To develop a framework for the charity's administration, establish and implement policies.
  • Establish procedures that will enable the charity to achieve its objectives and ensure the efficient running of all its activities.
  • This role calls for excellent administrative, bookkeeping, and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise the workload to meet deadlines.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide a full range of administrative duties and support to ensure the smooth running of the
back office and its key functions.

  • Supporting the Operations and fundraising manager with events
  • To help arrange and co-ordinate meetings (including trustee meetings) as necessary.
  • Ad hoc support for the fundraising and awareness-raising events and other calendared
  • Establish and manage a live/interactive volunteer rota
  • Responsible for bookkeeping, banking and finance processing
  • Manage expenses, adhering to finance policies
  • Maintain an appropriate audit trail of income received and spent.
  • Ensure that key information is communicated, using appropriate methods, to relevant colleagues
in a timely manner.

  • Carry out other tasks that are within the scope, spirit and purpose of the role

PERSON SPECIFICATION

  • Administration experience within an office environment including calendar
management and scheduling

  • IT literate in Microsoft Word/Excel/PP
  • Good communication skills - verbal/written
  • Good numeracy skills
  • Ability to coordinate and organise Volunteer rotas/meeting
