We are currently looking for Crime Standards Officers to join Devon and Cornwall Police on a temporary ongoing basis.

This position is located at Middlemoor Exeter with a 37-hour workweek from Monday to Friday.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Review recorded Crimes and Enquiries to ensure compliance with national and force standards

Specific Tasks:

  • Conduct detailed reviews of crimes to ensure compliance with national recording standards
  • Act as decision makers for assessing crimes
  • Finalize undetected crimes following Force policy
  • Perform specialist reviews for crime managers and operational departments
  • Conduct compliance audits for recording decisions made by other departments
  • Input, validate, and retrieve investigation information from systems like STORM, Unifi, and PNC
  • Provide advice on crime recording requirements and procedures
  • Handle administration duties for the crime system

Role-Specific Training:

  • Data Protection and information exchange
  • PNC Advanced (nominal and vehicle)
  • Home Office Counting Rules
  • National Crime Recording Standards
  • Unifi Supervisors
  • STORM

Essential Experience:
