Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Crime Scene Investigator to join our team at Dorset Police. As a Level 2 Crime Scene Investigator, you will be responsible for conducting scientific examinations of crime scenes and associated locations to identify, record, and recover physical and digital forensic evidence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough and efficient crime scene investigations to gather evidence and intelligence information.
- Attend all categories of crime scenes and associated locations to conduct scientific examinations.
- Take responsibility for gathering information from relevant sources to ascertain the circumstances of incidents.
- Conduct risk assessments of scenes and forensic evidence to ensure safety precautions are taken and documented.
- Collaborate with officers, members of the public, and victims of crime to secure effective cooperation and coordination of scene investigations.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in crime scene investigation and forensic analysis.
- Strong knowledge of forensic science and its applications.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High level of attention to detail and organizational skills.
