Here at TM Group, we are looking for a
Development Support Lead to join our IT Team on a competitive salary of
£40,000.


Your main role as the
Development Support Lead will include leading a dynamic team of support developers and ensuring the smooth delivery of Development Support to the business in close collaboration with your peers.


You will also need to ensure that documentation is maintained to a high standard and will oversee all releases, own the release calendar and the release process.


Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Cultivate and maintain a culture of continual improvement within the team
  • Manage the ticket queues in Jira Service Management (JSM) for all Development Support teams, ensuring that tickets are responded to and resolved within SLA. Regularly use reporting data from JSM to analyse the performance of your teams and to identify areas where improvements could be made. Induct new members when cycled into the team. Maintain a high standard of process and documentation and ensure your team do the same. Take over as Incident Manager in the absence of the Service Delivery Coordinator. Oversee all releases and ensure that releases are actioned in the most efficient way and to own and maintain the release calendar and the overall release process.

Person Specification

  • Have 35 years' experience working in a software development role or working alongside a software development team. Customer focused. Excellent people management skills. Able to work effectively under pressure. Able to hold a highlevel technical discussion to understand the impact of a problem. Great team player who will always put their team first. Have excellent verbal and written communication skills, being able to articulate issues at appropriate level for the audience. Selfmotivated, proactive, and ambitious
  • Ability to analyse problems independently or collaboratively and to propose solutions. Great attention to detail. Organised. An understanding of how technical service desk's function. Experiencing writing business documents ranging from knowledge base articles to business cases. Experience of the Atlassian suite of services advantageous. Experience working with an Agile development team advantageous.
