Experience
At least 3 years' experience in similar roles.

  • A third level qualification in a related discipline (journalism, public relations, public affairs, politics) is preferable but not essential.
  • A welldeveloped Northern Ireland public affairs and media networks are essential.
  • Digital communications experience is a requirement.
  • Experience of developing and delivering multidisciplinary communications plans, including plans to support the delivery of specific projects.
  • Understanding of Northern Ireland's strategic and regional planning systems would be advantageous.
  • Previous experience of delivering communications to support energy or infrastructure projects would be beneficial.
  • A working understanding of project management would be advantageous.
  • Exceptional communicator and ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, elected representatives, media, communities and other stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills and display sound communications judgement.
  • A resilient and flexible leader with excellent organisational and interpersonal skills along with a demonstrated ability to work as part of a team.
