A brand new, part-time opportunity is on offer to support our Northern Ireland contract from our Lisburn/Belfast Service Centre. Could this be the position for you?

We're looking for a Community Engagement Lead who will do just that. It's all about people, about connecting with our community and leading the engagement to ensure we are truly integral to the Northern Irish Community in all that we do.

The role itself is very varied, from creating and leading service user and stakeholder forums, working on improvement initiatives based on feedback from these stakeholders and service users, through to working with internal teams to ensure all that we do really does connect us with the community we serve.

You will work with key service user groups and partners across our sites, such as GP Surgeries, Care Homes, Care Agencies, Charities, and customer Social Care and Clinical teams to ensure integration of our services with them, shared understanding of priorities, pathways and work, and support joint working initiatives.

You will also lead communications with local stakeholders to ensure the service is understood and effectively used by stakeholders.

What experience, skills and qualifications will you have?

  • Experience of working within a health or social care setting, and knowledge of the services provided by various organisations in this area.
  • A Good understanding of clinical governance and standards including outcome measures.
  • Understanding of the social and health needs of the groups of service users we work with, including those who are older, frail, living with dementia, have long term conditions or disabilities, working with family carer groups etc.
  • Experience of managing multiple projects and responsibilities with ability to prioritise and organise work effectively.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including demonstrable knowledge and practice of customer care
  • A Social Care or clinical qualification (such as nursing, physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy) would be an advantage but not required.
  • Understanding of customer research and survey techniques and analysis.
  • You will need a UK driving licence.

What will your responsibilities be?

  • Implement and develop a strategy for liaising with the community of service users, relevant groups and operational partners, working with the Customer Relationship and Transformation Manager, and the Clinical Lead on the contract
  • Lead engagement with the above groups and our commissioner groups, creating a strategy and annual plan for communication and engagement
  • Create , lead and attend existing groups formed to understand different groups needs and work and how the contract can support this
  • Lead the delivery of surveys and all feedback from users, carers, prescribers and other stakeholders, including complaints, ensuring all feedback is responded to, analysed, reported as a co-ordinated picture of how the service is seen, and recommend changes and improvements accordingly.
  • Organise, promote and support engagement events locally
  • Create and produce local communications with stakeholders, promoting awareness and understanding of what the service offers and how stakeholders can best work with us and make the most of our services. This will include for example social media, press, events, local websites, leaflets, posters, research and reports
