About the Role

Mencap is thrilled to announce a new opportunity within our Northern Ireland fundraising division for a Lead Community Engagement and Events Coordinator.

This is a full-time hybrid role, requiring a minimum of two days per week in our Belfast office, along with regular travel throughout Northern Ireland and occasional trips to other locations.

Evening and weekend commitments may be necessary.

Key Responsibilities

As the Lead Community Engagement and Events Coordinator, you will:

  • Oversee all aspects of Community and Events fundraising initiatives across Northern Ireland.
  • Be directly accountable for our Digital Fundraising efforts, Special Events, and Corporate fundraising activities.
  • Engage actively with social media platforms and local media outlets, crafting comprehensive fundraising marketing communications strategies in collaboration with the Communication & Marketing Team.
Qualifications

We are seeking a candidate with:

  • Proven experience in generating income and managing budgets.
  • A track record of developing successful national fundraising portfolios.
  • The capability to devise effective and sustainable fundraising strategies.
