Purpose of Role:
The Ocado Retail Digital Transformation Lead will oversee a number of exciting and complex ecommerce transformation initiatives while supporting the growth of the Digital Transformation team.
This is a pivotal period in the digital transformation of the Ocado Retail and the Digital Transformation Lead will play a key role in driving progress forward. They will be the project management expert within the ecommerce team and will be responsible for projects at every stage of the project lifecycle, from scoping and analysis to design and implementation.

The role works closely with a wide range of teams from across Ocado Retail and Ocado Group, coordinating and driving transformation activity across functions. A key part of the role is building strong relationships and managing stakeholders at every level of the business, including regular reporting to senior executives.

As leader of the Digital Transformation team, they are expected to provide support, coaching and mentoring for the wider team; consisting of project managers, business analysts and testing engineers.

Key Responsibilities

Support the Ecommerce director in establishing and developing ecommerce strategic projects and initiatives Be the accountable owner for ecomm projects and programmes or workstreams on large-scale transformation programmes Plan, coordinate, drive and influence transformation activity across the business, particularly within ecom Build close working relationships across Ocado Retail and Ocado Group Be responsible for reporting progress in a variety of senior leadership forums Act as a mentor and sounding board to more junior colleagues in the team Understand and support the broader Ocado Retail objectives and strategy, ensuring the Digital Transformation team are contributing to the broader goals

Person Specification

Experience in leading complex projects, preferably in the e-commerce or online grocery sector Experience line managing, coaching, and developing direct reports Ability to build strong working relationships quickly (inc. with specialist / technical colleagues) Strong understanding of transformation methods and tools (inc. data-driven decision-making) Proven track record of managing multiple stakeholders, working collaboratively across a number of functions and communicating with senior executives Experience in managing projects with conflicting deadlines and priorities
