Due to the creation of two new Community Diagnostic Centre's (CDC), located at Eltham Community Hospital and Queen Marys Sidcup ,we are seeking to appoint an Accreditation and Quality Manager. Both centres are in the process of being developed and are expected to be fully operational by March 2025.

As part of this National Programme, the Accreditation and Quality Manager will develop, implement and embed a programme to attain accreditation in Improving Quality in Physiological Sciences (IQIPS) and Quality Standards for Imaging (QSI).

You will also ensure the implementation of Trust, Directorate and Departmental policies, procedures and standards as agreed by the Trust Board and Senior Management Team, also ensuring all clinical areas have systems in place to support monitoring and compliance of standards of practice.

As the programme lead, it is essential you have experience in service improvement, with well developed interpersonal and project management experience. Effective time management is a must to ensure accreditation is achieved within 2 years of CDCs going live.

Main duties of the job

To be a key member of the Imaging Management Team.

To maintain and develop the department Quality management system in collaboration with the Imaging Quality, Risk and Patient Safety Manager

Develop, lead, and advise on a programme to attain the Quality Standards for Imaging (QSI) across all modalities working closely with Clinical leads on the acute sites.

Develop, lead, and advise on a programme to attain the Improving Quality in Physiological services (IQIPS) across the physiologies within the community diagnostic centre.

Represent the Trust at sector level when the Imaging Network move towards Quality Standard for Imaging networks (QSIN) National quality performance measures , QSI.

Job responsibilities

Develop and manage an effective Quality Management and Clinical Governance system for Division in accordance with Trust policies and QSI and IQIPS standards to ensure continuing accreditation and participation in appropriate external reviews.

Develop and implement strategies for Imaging & Clinical Physiological Sciences to gain accreditation in line with the Trusts Clinical Governance programme and Clinical Risk Management System ensuring a consistent, Imaging and community diagnostic centre wide approach that will ensure the continual improvement of the quality of patient care and the patient experience.

Monitor and co-ordinate the implementation of Trust Risk Management and Quality Assurance policies and systems ensuring a consistent and proactive approach to reduction of clinical risk, to promote clinical effectiveness and a safe and healthy environment in line with the Quality strategy.

Extensive senior clinical and management experience Experience of working across other NHS organisations (or beyond) for benchmarking purposes or to identify best practice/areas for improvement Experience of overseeing Trust-wide initiatives; leading successful change management; service redesign processes; leading cost improvement programmes Experience of providing clinical advice to, and liaising with, managers and staff at all levels, including working with Executive Directors and senior clinicians Experience of QSI/ accreditation bodies Leadership of multidisciplinary teams Evidence of Service Transformation/ Quality Improvement activities spanning professional boundaries.
