Job summary

The Neurology Service are looking to recruit a full time Administration Co-ordinator to work alongside the Medical Neurosciences secretarial team.

We are looking for a motivated and professional individual, who will work as part of the Neurology Team providing a high level of administrative support to the clinical and secretarial team. You must possess good communication skills; have the ability to effectively work as part of a team as well as on your own initiative, proven organisational skills, an excellent telephone manner and a strong commitment to personal and professional development.

You will be an important part of the Neurology team, working in a rewarding environment. This key role will involve coordinating of emails and incoming calls to the service and will assist in the day-to-day administration workload.

Main duties of the job

You will be responsible for effective administration duties, booking patient appointments, email coordinating, call handling, and other administrative must have previous office based experience and a working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

You must possess good communication skills; have the ability to effectively work as part of a team as well as on your own initiative, proven organisational skills and a strong commitment to personal and professional development.

Good all round secretarial knowledge of all office practice and procedures Knowledge of medical terminology Good written and verbal communication skills Ability to work as a team member Ability to organise work independently and adapt to changing priorities Ability to work under pressure An ability to communicate with people at all levels Excellent telephone manner including good listening skills Good attention to detail Willingness to learn new skills A good understanding of Microsoft Office and Outlook, audio typing experience (RSA II or equivalent)
