**Job overview**:
**The Neurology Service are looking to recruit a full time Administration Co-ordinator to work alongside the Medical Neurosciences secretarial team.**

We are looking for a motivated and professional individual, who will work as part of the Neurology Team providing a high level of administrative support to the clinical and secretarial team. You must possess good communication skills; have the ability to effectively work as part of a team as well as on your own initiative, proven organisational skills, an excellent telephone manner and a strong commitment to personal and professional development.

**Main duties of the job**:
You must have previous office based experience and a working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

**Knowledge, Experience, Skills, Training**:
**Essential criteria**:

- Good all round secretarial knowledge of all office practice and procedures
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work as a team member
- Ability to organise work independently and adapt to changing priorities
- Ability to work under pressure
- An ability to communicate with people at all levels
- Excellent telephone manner including good listening skills
- Good attention to detail
- Willingness to learn new skills

**Desirable criteria**:

- Knowledge of the Trust’s current Information Technology systems (e.g. Medisec, iSOFT, PAS).

**Qualifications**:

- A good understanding of Microsoft Office and Outlook, audio typing experience (RSA II or equivalent)

**Desirable criteria**:

- Qualification in medical secretarial studies
- Possession of ECDL qualification
