We are looking to recruit a full time Senior Business Support Officer to work in the Drug and Alcohol and Domestic Abuse Coordination Team based in the Commissioning – Vulnerable People Service, to work alongside one other SBSO in the team and support the work of the Commissioning Officers and Managers in the team.

This is an interesting opportunity for someone with excellent verbal and written communication skills who is able to liaise effectively with a wide range of people from service users to senior leaders and partners.

The role will support the Council’s aim of reducing risk and harm as a result of substance misuse or domestic and sexual abuse, and aiding recovery. The team also supports the commissioning of sexual health services. DACT is a busy team with a varied workload including handling confidential and sensitive information with regard to some of the most vulnerable people in the city.

The Senior Business Support Officer will support the commissioning officers / managers with:

Administration of processes such as Domestic Homicide Reviews Organising meetings and events on a regular and ad hoc basis Minute taking, including for some complex meetings Administering the orders, processing invoices, raising journals, managing petty cash and monitoring of finance in relation to contracts and other expenditure Support with service user consultation and involvement Reviewing / checking case records for specific safeguarding information Ad hoc general administration, dealing with emails and other communication as they come in. 

Induction and training will be provided. The post will be based in Howden House combined with home working.
