Engagement Specialist

Job Duties:

  • Conduct one-to-one tuition sessions with students
  • Develop and deliver engaging, tailored sessions based on individual student needs
  • Establish a positive learning environment and build strong rapport with students
  • Identify and adapt teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
  • Create and implement strategies to motivate and engage students
  • Encourage active participation and learning during sessions
  • Address any learning difficulties or barriers to engagement
  • Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other stakeholders to support student progress

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant subject
  • Experience in tutoring or teaching
  • Ability to work one-to-one with students

Other suitable Qualifications:

  • Teaching Assistant (TA) PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification
  • Experience in delivering tuition to students

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Previous tutoring experience
  • Ability to work one-to-one with students
  • Highly dedicated and hardworking
  • Resilient and adaptable to various student needs
  • Effective planning and delivery of engaging sessions
  • Provide constructive feedback to students
  • Ability to motivate and engage students
  • Strong ability to build rapport with students
  • Identify and cater to students' interests

Working Conditions:

The engagement tutor will work with students on a one-to-one basis, either in-person or through online platforms. Working hours will be determined based on the availability of the tutor and students. The tutor will be responsible for creating a conducive learning environment and ensuring the safety and well-being of the students during sessions.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
