Opportunity for a Lead Quality Assurance Specialist in the Food Sector

Are you dedicated to ensuring food safety and quality? Do you excel in a fast-paced setting where your skills can drive significant improvements? We are seeking a committed Lead Quality Assurance Specialist to support our client's mission of excellence in the food sector.

Role Responsibilities:

In this essential position, you will report to the Technical Compliance & Customer Manager, working alongside various teams to enhance and uphold our Quality Management System (QMS). Your contributions will be vital in New Product Development (NPD), Existing Product Development (EPD), and overseeing Customer Specification Systems for both product packaging and raw materials.

Key Duties:

Quality Assurance & Compliance: Facilitate external audits by ensuring comprehensive traceability from suppliers to end customers and assist in Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) hygiene and internal audits.

Collaboration & Coordination: Partner with our Food Technologist, Specification Technologist, and other departments to manage risk assessments, specifications for raw materials, and supplier compliance.

Database & Portal Management: Oversee the raw material supplier database and ensure customer portals are accurate and current with relevant information.

Supplier Engagement: Organize and conduct supplier visits, verify that all suppliers meet approval criteria, and cultivate strong supplier relationships.

Product & Ingredient Management: Develop and maintain product specifications, evaluate ingredient suitability and compliance, and manage related systems and databases.

Audit & Crisis Response: Participate in internal audits and assist in capturing and coordinating responses during food safety alerts.
