Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Clinical Orthotic Specialist to enhance our services and provide exceptional care to our patients.

Role Responsibilities

  • Manage a diverse caseload of patients with various complex conditions, offering tailored recommendations for intervention.
  • Engage in effective communication with patients, ensuring informed consent and clarity regarding treatment options.
  • Provide guidance, support, and counseling to patients to optimize their rehabilitation journey and enhance their understanding of their conditions.
  • Conduct assessments, measurements, and fittings of orthotic devices, ensuring they meet individual patient needs.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records.
  • Deliver training and education in Orthotics to various stakeholders.

Key Duties

The Clinical Orthotic Specialist will be responsible for delivering high-quality orthotic care, supporting the operational aspects of the service, and mentoring junior team members. Responsibilities include:

  • Providing professional orthotic services to a diverse clientele.
  • Conducting thorough assessments and formulating individualized care plans.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Maintaining clinical records and adhering to best practices.
  • Participating in clinical audits and contributing to research initiatives.
  • Upholding health and safety standards within the workplace.

Qualifications and Experience

Applicants should possess a recognized qualification in Prosthetics and Orthotics, along with HCPC registration. Experience working with both adults and children in an orthotic capacity is essential. Strong communication skills, empathy, and the ability to prioritize tasks are crucial for success in this role.
