Main duties of the job

As the successful candidate you will be skilled and have confidence in working with adults who present with a broad range of mental health difficulties who are experiencing a high level of distress and/or engaging in risky behaviours.

- Provision of assessments/formulations to clients under CRHT.

- Delivering short to medium term CBT interventions to a select number of clients who have been under CRHT as part of their ongoing discharge/recovery plan.

- Attendance and contribution at MDT handovers to support psychological thinking and the embedding of the 5 p formulation approach to risk.

- Provision of reflective practice, supervision and support to the wider team.

- Provision of informal and formal training to enable staff to deliver brief psychological interventions using the CBT/DBT workbooks.

- Working with family and carers where appropriate as well as wider third sector agencies offering advice, support and psycho-education to help aid the client's recovery pathway.

- Maintain timely, accurate and up to date record keeping in accordance with Trust and professional standards.

- Work closely with the senior psychotherapist, as well as the wider acute psychology team, to provide optimum care and communication to both clients and colleagues.
