The UHNM Imaging service is one of the largest in the country delivering a wide range of complex services to our patients across the Trust and beyond supporting both tertiary and community services.

The successful candidate will have a can-do attitude, extensive problem solving skills and the ability to effectively prioritise competing workload/demands.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will work alongside the Clinical Director and Head of Imaging as a key member of the senior leadership triumvirate; accountable for organising Directorate resources to ensure delivery of safe, high quality and effective patient care.

The role will provide support and leadership for the Imaging team, with particular emphasis on project management, business case preparation, procurement & financial management along with data oversight.

The post holder will work closely with the Head of Imaging and CD in ensuring that all local and national performance standards and objectives are met and maintained; the role portfolio includes the Imaging administrative and clerical team.

An important element will be the contribution to the strategic development and continuing improvement of clinical services, in conjunction with the service leadership and wider team, driving efficiencies and innovation throughout the directorate.

The post holder will represent the service externally across a range of stakeholders, including but not limited to networks, commissioners, charities and regulators.
