The Role

Here at SecureCloud+ we are seeking a Portfolio Director to join our team based out of our Stoke on Trent site.

The Portfolio Director oversees successful project delivery, meeting financial targets and timelines while maintaining customer satisfaction. Reporting to the Chief Revenue Officer, responsibilities include risk management, budget management, and coordinating transition activities.


Role Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Commercial Management:

  • Represent the company effectively to all customer stakeholders, focusing on financial management of projects, variation management, and ensuring projects achieve desired financial returns.
  • Act as escalation point for customer enquiries, managing risk, delivery, and ensuring timely and professional responses from the delivery team.
  • Monitor overall project progress, resolving issues and initiating corrective action when necessary.
  • Identify new revenue opportunities and collaborate closely with Sales lead to generate future revenue through contract changes.
  • Ensure identification of contract variations/scopes and raise additional charges against contracts under formal change control/variations as needed.

Transition Management:

  • Lead the management of specified project outputs from initiation through to delivery.

Resource Management:

  • Collaborate with other functions to forecast and manage resource availability, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Business Process Development:

  • Support the development and implementation of project management systems, governance, and reporting.


Education and Experience Requirements

As the Portfolio Director you will have:

  • APMP /Prince 2/ Managing Successful Programmes Qualification.
  • Experience of budget management.
  • Understanding of Enterprise Architecture principles.
  • Awareness of ITIL best practice.
  • Proven track record in delivering technology projects and experience of managed service environments.
  • An energetic leader able to empower and motivate across the Company.
  • A clear strategic thinker with a commitment to high standards.
  • A good understanding of UK Government Security Classifications
  • Ability to establish and develop a new role within a rapidly evolving organisation.
  • A commitment to continual personal development
  • Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • The ability to influence and negotiate with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Willingness to work flexibly in response to changing organisational requirements.


UK Security Check (SC) clearance is required for this position. Candidates must possess or be eligible to obtain SC clearance, with a view to obtaining UK Developed Vetting (DV) clearance as required.
