Compliance Director & MLRO

Location: London (Hybrid working model available)

Who We Are: Payset is a UK-based online international payments solution authorized by the UK FCA as an Electronic Money Institution (EMI). We offer multi-currency accounts and currency exchange services to businesses worldwide, simplifying local and international payments. Our mission is to build lasting client relationships, enhance our product technology, and expand into new markets.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as Compliance Director & MLRO under the Group Chief Compliance and Risk Officer's leadership
  • Lead the Risk & Compliance team
  • Ensure compliance with UK FCA requirements, including AML/CFT, safeguarding, information security, incident management, data privacy, and consumer duty
  • Track, assess, and implement regulatory changes impacting the company
  • Develop and issue compliance policies in collaboration with other teams
  • Manage client approvals/rejections from an AML/CFT perspective and set risk appetite
  • Oversee monitoring of client transactions and reporting of suspicious activities
  • Ensure regulatory reporting compliance to UK regulators, board of directors, and senior management
  • Maintain positive relationships with UK regulators and international banking partners
  • Provide regulatory training to teams across the organization

Qualifications:

  • Deep knowledge and 7-10+ years experience in financial services/payments industry
  • 3+ years experience as Compliance Director/MLRO
  • Degree in Law/Economics/Business Administration or equivalent
  • Professional certificates in AML/CFT compliance and relevant FCA qualifications
  • Result-oriented with a tech-savvy approach to compliance
  • Experience in international team collaboration
  • Attributes: responsible, dedicated, meticulous, stable, quick learner, positive, and reputable
