As an Associate Director of Compliance, you will be responsible for monitoring changes to laws and regulations to ensure adherence to all relevant legal and regulatory requirements, including licenses, certifications, accreditations, and mandates. This role is vital in implementing best practices across UHG affiliated companies in the UK and Ireland, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and contractual obligations. Collaborating with the wider Compliance team, you will have the opportunity to develop compliance communications and drive problem resolution for the business. Working Schedule: This is a full-time position with standard working hours of Monday to Friday, occasional after-work hours may be required to support operational needs. Careers with Optum offer flexible work arrangements and individuals who live and work in the UK will have the opportunity to split their monthly work hours between our London Paddington office and telecommuting from a home-based office in a hybrid work model. Primary Responsibilities of the Associate Director, Compliance: •

Develop and implement a compliance program to ensure the organisation operates in accordance with country laws. •

Determine compliance metrics and establish a system for tracking them. •

Perform compliance audits to determine whether establish protocols are being followed and where they can be improved for internal and external stakeholders. •

Maintain up to date written documentation and policies related to the organisation's business activities. •

Manage governance and management routines. •

Strives not only to meet compliance standards, but also to exceed them for peak operating efficiency. •

Provide compliance advice and input for product, service or process decisions are most likely to impact entire functions and/or customer accounts (internal or external). Required Qualifications of the Associate Director, Compliance: •

Extensive experience in compliance roles with a deep understanding of regulatory frameworks and business processes. •

Chartered Accountant certification (CIMA, ACA, ACCA, CPA), MBA Finance, LLB, or an equivalent advanced degree. •

Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to interpret and present complex information clearly and concisely. •

Knowledge across Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) guidelines, Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) standards, and regional Anti-Bribery and Corruption regulations. •

Proven track record in identifying, managing, and reporting compliance risks. •

Ability to train and consult on compliance program requirements and ensure adherence to applicable laws, regulations, mandates, and contracts. Preferred Qualifications of the Associate Director, Compliance: •

Experience with a major consulting firm, such as one of the Big 4 (Deloitte, PwC, EY, KPMG), is highly desired. •

Background in healthcare consulting or healthcare compliance, particularly UK and Ireland regulations and requirements.
