Position Summary

We are in search of an experienced leader to join our growing technology risk assurance team at the Director level.

This esteemed global firm is looking for a professional who can guide the strategic direction and implementation of their IT Audit programs, particularly focusing on their portfolio of External Audits within the financial services sector. The role entails overseeing the delivery of high-quality work while fostering the growth and development of team members.

This opportunity presents a distinctive chance to elevate your career and become a vital member of the national leadership team as the Technology Risk Assurance (TRA) division enhances its operations and supports the national audit framework. Responsibilities will also encompass innovating our service delivery in critical areas such as Advanced Data Analytics, IT Governance, Cyber Security, Technology Resilience, and Data Privacy.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement technology-driven audit methodologies to effectively address audit risks.
  2. Assess the outputs generated by the team to ensure compliance with high-quality audit standards.
  3. Provide insightful reports to both internal and external stakeholders.
  4. Collaborate with our regional TRA team to ensure effective project and financial management across current and future engagements.
  5. Leadership: Direct a team managing a variety of IT audit projects, working closely with audit teams to strategically allocate resources, define audit scopes, and create project plans to fulfill External Audit requirements.
  6. Inspirational People Management: Inspire, mentor, and enhance the skills of team members, while also designing and implementing training programs to maintain relevant and up-to-date skills.
  7. Exceptional Client Service Delivery: Maintain our high standards of client service, introducing innovative ideas to enhance our offerings and serving as a key point of contact for project delivery issues.
  8. Innovation: Play a crucial role in the development of methodologies and guidelines for internal use.
  9. Business Development: Actively participate in our growth strategy by leading business development initiatives, including engaging with potential clients, crafting proposals, and nurturing strong internal relationships.
  10. Act as a representative of the firm, participating in marketing initiatives and staying informed about the diverse range of services we provide.
  11. Personal Development: Continuously share the latest insights in technology with the Partner and Director community, clients, and team members.

Essential Skills:

  1. Expertise in IT General Controls and Business Process Control Activities.
  2. Experience in integrating Controls testing and Data Analytics into external audit frameworks.
  3. Ability to interpret the financial audit implications of IT risks and control deficiencies.
  4. Knowledge of cyber risk management and business resilience strategies.
  5. Understanding of IT system implementation risks and controls.
  6. Proficiency in IT Governance and Compliance Reviews.
  7. Familiarity with Service Auditor Reporting.
