**THE COMPANY**:
Our client is a global industrial commodities business, specialising in the production and trading of industrial commodities. They are looking to hire a Head of Group Risk and Compliance for their London business.

**THE RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Evaluating business activities to evaluate or assess compliance risk
- Manging the Group’s insurance programme
- Conducting and overseeing internal reviews or audits periodically to ensure that compliance procedures are followed
- Conducting or directing the internal investigation of compliance issues
- Developing effective plans to manage a crisis or compliance violation
- Working cooperatively with external auditors when needed
- Discussing arising compliance issues with management or employees
- Conduct insurance due diligence for potential acquisitions and provide guidance on NewCo insurance programmes and pricing.
- Dealing with all insurance related administration including claims, premium allocations, recharges, invoicing, adjustments, and policy documentation.

**EXPERIENCE REQUIRED**:

- Significant relevant experience in commodity trading/manufacturing industry
- Dealing with all insurance related administration including claims, premium allocations, recharges, invoicing, adjustments, and policy documentation
- Understanding of global insurance markets across multiple lines (energy, property, marine, financial)
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Experience in risk management
- Understanding of global insurance markets across multiple lines (energy, property, marine, financial)
- Detailed knowledge of all relevant legal requirements and controls e.g. Anti-Money Laundering, Anti-Bribery, KYC, etc.
