About Director, Compliance Outsourcing


My client is a Internationally leading acquirer with presence in over 27 countries globally. They own 35% of the global market creating huge amounts of opportunities for them to disrupt the market with their innovative products.


This role sits within a brand new division which gives them the security & resource of a large corporate but the flexibility and agile mindset of a scale up company. The division has been built to mature the compliance function & ensure scalability for the future.


This is an exciting role where someone will have direct impact in developing new compliance structures internally for current & new locations



As a Director, Compliance Outsourcing your responsibilities and duties will includes:


  • Oversee and monitor the activities provided by all outsourced partners, collaborating with internal stakeholders to monitor intra-group and third-party outsourced service provider relationships.
  • Provide second-line oversight in resolution and timely closure of non-performance issues against agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs). Your role involves ensuring compliance with our outsourcing and third-party policies.
  • Support the development and implementation of the Outsourcing Framework and champion it’s adoption through effective communication with all levels of the organisation.
  • Manage the outsourcing framework, including policies, outsourced register and SLA documents.
  • Oversee and maintain a central register of outsourced vendor arrangements.
  • Oversee a team of Compliance Analysts providing direction, guidance and support.
  • Monitor and report on outsourced supplier performance SLAs.
  • Collaborate with Service Delivery / Vendor Managers to ensure that Exit Plans and all other required governance practices are in place.
  • Monitor and communicate regulatory changes that impact products, services and business activities from an outsourcing perspective.
  • Support the onboarding of new outsourcing arrangements in accordance with defined policy, partnering with Vendor Risk Management.
  • Conduct initial and ongoing materiality assessments in consultation with relevant stakeholders.
  • Prepare outsourced oversight reports for internal committees.
  • Conduct due diligence and supports risk assessments for new and existing arrangements.



Essential Skills and Competencies of the Director, Compliance Outsourcing




  • Proven experience in Compliance within the Payment Industry – understanding of PSD2
  • Strong understanding of the EBA Outsourcing guidelines
  • Experience in developing and managing outsourcing frameworks for payment institutions with awareness of Third-Party Risk Management/Vendor Management/Procurement processes within Financial Services Operational Risk Management.
  • Awareness of operational resilience industry standards and requirements.
  • Experience in building effective relationships with internal stakeholders and clients.
  • High personal resilience, a self-starter with energy and drive for results. A high degree of self-motivation is a given.
  • Degree level education
  • Excellent English communication and written skills
  • High energy and creativity, an entrepreneurial spirit, and the desire to work in a fast growth and changing environment.
  • Exceptional organization and process management abilities.
  • Problem-solving mindset; solution orientated.
