About the Director of Compliance Outsourcing Role

Our client is a globally recognized acquirer with a footprint in over 27 countries, commanding a significant share of the international market. They are at the forefront of innovation, creating substantial opportunities to transform the industry landscape.

This position is part of a newly established division that combines the stability and resources of a large corporation with the agility and innovative spirit of a growing company. The aim of this division is to enhance the compliance function and ensure sustainable growth.

This role presents a unique opportunity to directly influence the development of new compliance frameworks for both existing and emerging markets.

As the Director of Compliance Outsourcing, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Supervising and evaluating the activities of all outsourced partners, working closely with internal teams to manage relationships with both intra-group and external service providers.
  • Providing oversight to ensure timely resolution of performance issues in line with established Service Level Agreements (SLAs), ensuring adherence to outsourcing and third-party policies.
  • Assisting in the creation and implementation of the Outsourcing Framework, promoting its adoption through effective communication across all organizational levels.
  • Managing the outsourcing framework, which encompasses policies, an outsourced register, and SLA documentation.
  • Maintaining a comprehensive register of outsourced vendor arrangements.
  • Leading a team of Compliance Analysts, offering direction, guidance, and support.
  • Monitoring and reporting on the performance of outsourced suppliers against SLAs.
  • Collaborating with Service Delivery and Vendor Managers to ensure that Exit Plans and necessary governance practices are established.
  • Keeping abreast of regulatory changes that may affect products, services, and business operations from an outsourcing perspective.
  • Facilitating the onboarding of new outsourcing agreements in accordance with established policies, in partnership with Vendor Risk Management.
  • Conducting initial and ongoing assessments of materiality in consultation with relevant stakeholders.
  • Preparing oversight reports for internal committees regarding outsourced activities.
  • Conducting due diligence and supporting risk assessments for both new and existing outsourcing arrangements.

Essential Skills and Qualifications for the Director of Compliance Outsourcing position:

  • Demonstrated experience in Compliance within the Payments sector, with a solid understanding of PSD2.
  • Strong familiarity with EBA Outsourcing guidelines.
  • Experience in developing and managing outsourcing frameworks for payment institutions, with knowledge of Third-Party Risk Management and Vendor Management processes within Financial Services Operational Risk Management.
  • Understanding of operational resilience standards and requirements.
  • Proven ability to build effective relationships with internal stakeholders and clients.
  • High personal resilience, self-motivated, and driven to achieve results.
  • Degree-level education.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • High energy, creativity, and an entrepreneurial mindset, with a desire to thrive in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
  • Exceptional organizational and process management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities with a focus on solutions.
