London, United Kingdom Great Ormond Street Hospital Full time
Job overview

This is an exciting time to join Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH).  GOSH is an international centre of excellence in child healthcare.  To continue to deliver this work, we need to appoint a dynamic and experienced Leadership and Management Partner in Organisational Development (OD).

If you have an appetite to deliver people change and you are confident in creating partnerships to support the development of a new Leadership and management strategy, then we would like to hear from you.

We are updating our People Plan and post-pandemic we would like to provide a much wider provision of development to our established and new leaders.  The successful candidate will support our strategic priorities using a range of tools and methods to shape organisational culture.  Working with a consultancy and coaching approach the post holder will lead system-wide collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

Main duties of the job

The postholder will be familiar with OD methodology and their approach will make full use of the OD cycle when supporting stakeholders to achieve delivery against the Trust strategy, vision, and values, and the best outcomes for our patients.

You will be responsible for the development of leadership and management programmes, talent development, and knowledge management; and work very closely with our Apprenticeship Team to integrate our leadership-accredited programmes.

You will lead on workstreams aligned to our new Leadership and Management Operational Delivery Groups, ensuring that our leaders are aware of the values and competencies we would like them to role model. You will work with teams across the Trust and the wider Integrated Care System, to support a programme of continuous organisational performance improvement, which will endeavour to help the Trust achieve its ambition.

Working for our organisation

GOSH is committed to recruiting the best person for the job, based solely on their ability and individual merit as measured against the criteria for the role; through a process that is fair, open, consistent and free from bias and discrimination.

We are committed to being a diverse and inclusive employer and foster a culture where all staff are valued, respected and acknowledged. All applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, colour, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, age, disability status or length of time spent unemployed.

We particularly welcome applications from BAME communities, people with disabilities and/or long-term health conditions and LGBT+ community members.

We have policies and procedures in place to ensure that all applicants and employees are treated fairly and consistently. We are proud to be accredited as a Disability Confident Employer, a member of Business Disability Forum and a Stonewall Diversity Champion.

We have active and Executive supported BAME, LGBT+ and Allies, Disability and Long-Term Health Conditions and Women’s staff networks. Staff networks are employee-led groups formed around interests, issues and a common bond or background. Staff network members create a positive and inclusive work environment at Great Ormond Street Hospital by actively contributing to the Trust’s mission, values and efforts specific to inclusion. All of our staff networks are open to any employee.
