Accounts Receivable/Collections Specialist

Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Collection of all A/R accounts for multiple Shred-Tech companies including the deposit of cheques received and cash application. Coordinate A/R details and problem accounts with sales and service departments. Rating, qualifying and set-up of new accounts. Processing of AR write-offs of invoices on account. Processing of intercompany transactions between Shred-Tech companies. Updating account reports for weekly and monthly reporting on an ongoing basis. Prepare customer hold reports and update Controller and CFO on over 90 day accounts. Update credit status for overdue customers. Run A/R month end reports for review by Controller and CFO. Prepare and mail A/R statements. Copy of Aging Summary to Controller and CFO with staged payments deducted. Prepare A/R turnover and Days Sales Outstanding reports.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Post secondary education in Accounting or Finance.

Experience:

2-4 years experience in Accounts Receivable & Collections. Experience working with Epicor ERP system is an asset.

Specific Skill Ability and Knowledge:

Familiar with ERP systems and principles. Advanced computer skills - Microsoft Office. Ability to multi-task and prioritize with strong organizational skills. Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate tasks among several departments. Professional phone manner. Professional email writing skills to clearly communicate with both external and internal customers.
