Archival Data Manager

The Digital Preservation Coalition is seeking a highly skilled Archival Data Manager to join their team in Cambridge. As an Archival Data Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to preserve and manage the archival collection at Cambridge University Library.

This is a full-time position offering a competitive salary of £35,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience. In this role, you will work collaboratively with colleagues across the library to manage collections and deliver services and projects.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing strategies to preserve and manage the archival collection
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues to manage collections and deliver services and projects
  • Supporting researchers, students, and users to access archives

To be successful in this role, you will require excellent ICT literacy, familiarity with the management of digitized and born-digital records, and palaeographical and diplomatic skills to read and interpret medieval and early modern records. You will also need to be an effective communicator able to engage a range of audiences with the archival collections.
