About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Digital Preservation Specialist to join our team at Cambridge University Press & Assessment. This exciting new role will focus on supporting the delivery of our archive services across the organization, with a primary emphasis on digital collections generated by the Press.

The successful candidate will work closely with colleagues from both Assessment and Press archives to harmonize archive management and services, while respecting the legacy of Press traditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Catalogue and preserve digital collections using industry-standard tools and best practices
  • Develop accessible digital resources to enhance user experience and engagement
  • BUILD RELATIONSHIPS WITH KEY COLLEAGUES TO ENSURE SMOOTH DAY-TO-DAY OPERATION OF ARCHIVE SERVICES
  • Assist with promotional and developmental projects to promote the value of our archive services

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of professional duties, from cataloguing and digitization to relationship-building and project management. You will be expected to work independently on some projects, while collaborating with colleagues on others.

We are looking for an individual who shares our passion for collaborative, innovative, empowering, and responsible approaches to archive management. The ideal candidate will hold a postgraduate archive management qualification and have experience working in an archives service, with practical skills in IT and archive management systems.
