Join the Digital Preservation Coalition's team as a Technical Analyst and contribute to the establishment of a new Digital Preservation Service. As part of a five-year Digital Preservation Programme, you will work closely with colleagues across the Library to ensure current and ongoing access to digital materials.
About the JobThe Technical Analyst will be responsible for establishing services for digital collection materials, including a service to transfer data from handheld storage carriers. They will also need to have knowledge and/or experience in understanding the risks and vulnerabilities of data and digital technologies.
The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of digital formats and metadata, as well as a conceptual understanding of key challenges in digital preservation. They will also need to be able to engage with stakeholders and work as part of a team.
The estimated salary for this position is £55,000 per annum, depending on experience.
