Job Opportunity

We are looking for a talented researcher to join our team at the University of Cambridge and contribute to a significant project on population history.

About the Project:

The project aims to shed further light on the fertility decline and related changes in mortality in England and Wales during the mid-nineteenth to early twentieth-century.

Responsibilities:

  • Visit national and local archives to collect and analyze primary sources.
  • Identify historical sources relating to local labor markets, education provision, poor relief, and public health measures.
  • Work closely with colleagues in the Department of Geography to achieve project goals.

Requirements:

  • A strong background in historical research, preferably with post-graduate experience.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication skills.

Salary: £27,000 - £32,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Location: The University of Cambridge.
