Accounts Receivable Assistant

Austin Fraser is seeking two experienced Accounts Receivable Assistants to join its large finance team in Cambridge. This exciting opportunity encompasses responsibilities within Accounts Receivable, the Month End Closing process, and other specific accounting activities.

The ideal candidates will have a proven track record in accounts receivable environments, excellent communication skills, and proficiency in finance systems. The role requires flexibility, including working shifts as needed.

Job Description:
  • Collect customer payments: Regular contact via email and telephone to ensure timely receipt of payments.
  • Verify account discrepancies: Obtain and investigate information from business units and customers to resolve any issues.
  • Resolve collections: Analyze customer payment plans, payment history, and credit to determine the best course of action.
  • Handle enquiries: Internal and external requests related to finance are handled promptly and professionally.
  • Manage stakeholder relationships: Contribute to maintaining positive relationships with key stakeholders in Accounts Receivable.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Accounts receivable experience: Proven track record in an accounts receivable environment.
  • Finance systems knowledge: Good understanding of finance systems is essential for success in this role.
  • Microsoft Office skills: Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is required.
  • Flexibility: Ability to work shifts as needed.
  • Accounting qualification: Desirable but not essential.

£26,750 - £30,250 per annum
