Maternity Support Worker - Oxford City Community (Florence Park Midwifery Team)

Salary - Band 3

Florence Park Midwifery Team is currently seeking an enthusiastic caring person to work within our community midwifery team. You would provide care and support to new mothers in a variety of settings, (their homes, Florence Park clinic and Rectory Road clinic). As part of this role you would be expected to provide additional support to some of the vulnerable pregnant women and their families, assist mothers to successfully breast feed, as well as support the local midwives

Florence Park Midwifery Team is currently seeking an enthusiastic caring person to work within our community midwifery team. You would provide care and support to new mothers in a variety of settings. As part of this role you would be expected to provide additional support to some of the vulnerable pregnant women and their families, assist mothers to successfully breast feed, as well as support the local midwives.

You will need to be a car driver and car owner. You must be flexible and be happy to work during the day (shifts 08:30-16:30 hours) including weekends. Previous experience is desirable but not essential. You will need to have a care certificate qualification. You will be provided with an on the job training.

Education, training & qualific

Essential

To demonstrate literacy and numeracy. Good command of spoken English assessed at interview Motivated to develop knowledge and skills Willing to undertake self-development activities to improve clinical effectiveness. Evidence of the Care Certificate and understanding of the Code of Conduct for Health Care Support Workers and Adult Social care workers in England.

Desirable

Evidence of Level 2 Diploma or Apprenticeship in Health related subject or willing to work towards
