**Are you passionate about supporting people to access services and build resilience to enable them to lead independent lives?**
We are currently recruiting a Case Worker to join our Mental Health Support Service in Oxfordshire.
**About the service**
As part of the Oxfordshire Mental Health Partnership, we provide focused support to people with severe and enduring mental health conditions, listening to the support needs of our clients and helping them access services that will help in their recovery and to live independently.
**About the role**
Your role will be to work with the clients to try and resolve issues that impact on their ability to live a happy and fulllife. This could mean support to access services appropriate to their individual needs, which may include mental or physical well-being, specialist advice agencies, support to enter employment, access leisure facilities, and monetary advice, dealing with landlords, housing support and generally aiding in independent and safe living. A person-centred approach is key and an understanding of how to best approach individuals who have mental health needs. A curiosity and drive to find solutions to complex situations will also stand you in good stead.
No two days are the same in this challenging but rewarding role.
This role is permanent working 30 hours per week, Monday - Friday.
You will support clients in Oxford and South Oxfordshire and may be required to travel to other places across Oxfordshire, therefore a driver’s licence and access to a vehicle is essential.
Salary £22,675 - £25,380 per annum, pro rata, dependent on experience.
- Please note we reserve the right to close this advert early._
**About you**
Your professional and/or personal experience of working with people who have/are experiencing mental health problems, alongside your knowledge of, or willingness to learn about, mental health conditions, are fundamental to the role. It would be amazing if you had knowledge of housing and benefits, however, training can be provided. Having the right attitude and willingness to provide an exceptional service is more important.
You will need to be resilient, diplomatic, and tactful: understanding that each person you meet is different and may be experiencing a variety of conditions. You will be able to work with other professionals and agencies in a variety of fields throughout the county to be able to secure the relevant services needed by your clients.
It is important to us that you are just as passionate about teamwork and understand the value of building relationships inside as well as outside of the team. We work, share difficulties and celebrate as a team. We understand that without each other’s support, knowledge, and experience we couldn’t achieve the amazing outcomes that we strive for every day.
Connection Support’s values of Empowering, Compassionate, Collaborative and Personalised are the bywords for how we treat our clients and each other.
**Why work for us?**
At Connection Support, our team of staff members and volunteers work alongside people to overcome life’s challenges, with the goals of solving homelessness and achieving independence. We do this through our values of empowerment, collaboration, compassion and taking a personalised approach in all aspects of our work.
We are committed to being a proactively inclusive organisation and ensuring good EDEI practice is embedded in the workplace culture, and that everyone who interacts with Connection Support is valued, treated with respect, and has a positive experience.

The wonderful people at Connection Support are committed to supporting everyone in our society to become safely and sustainably housed, and to live as independently as possible, so you will be joining an organisation that makes a difference to its communities and will also support your development, offer extensive training, and truly value your dedication and commitment.
