Inspector - Force Incident Manager

The ambition of the Civil Nuclear Constabulary is “to be recognised nationally and internationally as the United Kingdom’s leading organisation for the provision of armed policing protective services”. We play a key role in the Strategic Armed Policing Reserve and have been deployed across the country as part of Operation Temperer in response to terrorist attacks.
Our role in protecting the UKs national security is unique. This critical role as a Force Incident Manager (FIM) oversees and manages all operational activity and resources within the Command and Control Centre (CCC).
The primary role of the Force Incident Manager is to provide Tactical Firearms Command for spontaneous firearms incidents across the Constabulary in accordance with Authorised Professional Practice (Armed Policing) and JESIP.
You will also be responsible for planning, managing and monitoring the initial response to all incidents, ensuring effective and appropriate resource allocation and risk management. You will identify, manage and mitigate any operational threats or risks in line with national guidance and operational policing plans, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of officers, staff and the public at all times.

Eligibility criteria
You must be a substantive Inspector, with a Tactical Firearms Commander qualification. You must be currently serving within a Home Office force or have served in a Home Office force within the previous twelve months. You must not be currently subject to an unsatisfactory performance review or action plan (or within the previous 12 months).
