Are you a tendering, proposaldevelopment, bid or estimating professional that wants to excel ina dynamic and exciting industry for a market leading company? Fugrois now seeking a Proposal Manager / Estimator to join the MarineInfrastructure Solutions team based in Falmouth, Cornwall. As partof this rewarding role the Proposal Manager will review andunderstand a potential client's ITT/RFQ's to prepare a proposal andprice for submission in line with the client's time-framerequirements. The candidate will play a significant role inattracting new clients, engaging with existing clients &supporting the business in securing projects for profitable growth.You will also need to prepare a proposal handover package tofacilitate a meeting with the project delivery team and engage witha network of known and new clients throughout the proposalprocess.
Roles and Responsibilities The dutiesand responsibilities associated with this position include, but arenot limited to the following:
- Act as apoint of contact for Marine Infrastructure Proposals within andoutside the Fugro group
- Responsible for theproposal process - including all technical, commercial, andcontractual aspects (Supported by teammembers)
- Commercial, technical, and operationalbid reviews
- Form a business strategy andproduce detailed concise proposals based on conditions ofcontract.
- Prepare prices based on marketintelligence, business strategy, collation of proposal submissiondata and review of each bid prior tosubmission.
- Prepare bid/no bid analysis forreview & approval by the linemanager.
- Commercial and technical negotiationwith client to secure contract to award
- Attendand conduct client meetings (Via Skype or in person, UK and/oroverseas)
- Engaged withsubcontractors/suppliers during theproposal process to ensure best value and technical solutions areachieved.
- Produce cashflow forecasts as part ofthe commercial evaluation.
Who we are lookingfor:
As a proposal manager we areseeking an individual that is driven, and dynamic, furthermoreforward thinking with their problem solving. It is imperative youhave proven success working in a result driven team with ahigh-level customer delivery approach. The successful candidatewill have the ability to adapt and show resilience and flexibilityworking with many key areas of the business, with a core focus toprovide a high client deliverable at the same time ensureprofitability. You will need to be a strong communicator,collaborator ad organiser with good time-management and focus onmeeting strict deadlines. The role will require strong IT skillsincluding Microsoft excel, PowerPoint, word, and project. Ideally adegree or HND qualification, and experience working withinternational team and an understanding of a variety of forms ofcondition of contract would be a benefit, however notessential.
