Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Surgical Services Care Group in the directorate of Plastic and Breast, in a new role designed to lead, support and co-ordinate our teams in pathway management as well as training teams and developing competency packages as part of data quality. We are looking to recruit a Band 4 Pathway Coordinator.

The post holder will provide direct support to the Directorate Service/Service Manager in leading a team who will provide focused pathway management for long waiting patients and wider coordination of training across the whole Care Group. To work along side Service Coordinators, they will ensure that administrative colleagues have clear development materials and competency packages in all key areas of data quality, including 18 week RTT and the validation of patient pathways.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be the 'go to' expert in data quality and pathway management and provide training to both established and new members of the team to ensure high data quality and promote a patient safety culture. They will undertake quality assurance of validation performed by the data quality/18 week validation team across the Care Group and to identify and report potential training issues and develop strategies to improve performance.
