The post holder will join an established annual rotationplan covering these 3 service areas .

This post is suited to a therapist who is innovative, drivenand who wants to improve the lives and outcomes of children and young people. The successful candidate will be registered as aPhysiotherapist with the HCPC and be able to demonstrate excellentcommunication skills, established problem solving skills and have a flexibleteam approach

Previous paediatricexperience is desirable however, we would consider Physiotherapists withexperience in adult outpatients, or neurology who are looking to move intopaediatrics as full trianing and support will be given. Previous expereince asa student would also be considered.

Main duties of the job

1. To carry outphysiotherapy assessment and intervention for children and young people with diversepresentations and complex conditions in MSK and/or Neuro development

2. Maintain clinical caseload children and young people aged0-19years, working as an autonomous practitioner.

3. Provide actively participate in clinical supervision andtraining to the wider team.

4. To be responsible for organising and prioritising own andworkload across the service.

Job responsibilities

The post holder will need to be proactive, flexible andresponsive to the changing needs and demands of the organisation and to supportthe smooth running of the Community Services.

The post is a permanent position within the childrenstherapies team. You will be an activememebr of the peadiatric roational team. The post holder working within each of thefollowing areas for a period of 12 months: Outpatients, Community and SpecialSchool. Within each rotation the post holder will be supported by anexperienced band 7 physiotherapist and receive formal and informal supervision,peer support and training.

Dimension of the job include:

Carryingout physiotherapy assessment for children and young people with diversepresentations and complex conditions in MSK and or Neuro developmental.

Developingand delivering individualised treatment programme in a variety of clinic and orcommunity settings.

Undertakingall aspects of clinical duties as an autonomous practitioner.

Liaisingwith parents/carers, multi-disciplinary/multi-agency teams, in the assessment,reporting and treatment programming, ensuring a holistic approach.

Contributingto and actively participating in, In-Service training, supervision, andappraisal.

Maintainingclinical and statistical records

Providesupervision to junior members of staff and students .
