About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and innovative Physiotherapist to join our dynamic team at County Durham & Darlington NHS Foundation Trust. As a Band 7 Highly Specialized Physiotherapist, you will have the opportunity to develop and lead our outpatients team, working closely with other team leads to ensure best care for patients and service users.

Main Responsibilities
  • Lead the outpatient team with fellow outpatient lead, providing clinical supervision and training to the wider team.
  • Maintain a clinical caseload of highly complex children and young people, working as an autonomous practitioner.
  • Organize and prioritize own and others workload across the service, ensuring efficient and effective delivery of care.
  • Develop and lead innovative therapy services, improving patient outcomes and service delivery.
  • Deputize for the operational lead when necessary, ensuring continuity of care and service delivery.
Requirements
  • Essential:
    • Proven clinical experience of working with patients and their families in delivery of physiotherapy treatment plans.
    • Advanced knowledge and experience of a wide range of conditions and physiotherapy approaches.
    • Evidence of leading and participating in audit, with a focus on quality improvement and service development.
    • Forward and innovative thinking, with a commitment to delivering high-quality care and services.
  • Desirable:
    • Knowledge of system 1, with experience of implementing and managing clinical systems and processes.
Qualifications and Registration
  • Essential:
    • Degree in Physiotherapy, with further postgraduate training relevant to the post.
    • HCPC registration, with a commitment to maintaining professional standards and continuing professional development.
    • CSP registration, with a focus on delivering high-quality care and services.
  • Desirable:
    • Master level modules or equivalent courses in speciality, with a focus on advanced practice and leadership.
Special Skills and Knowledge
  • Essential:
    • Advanced level of physiotherapy clinical knowledge and skill within paediatrics, with a focus on delivering high-quality care and services.
    • Advanced skills in a range of standardized assessments, with a commitment to delivering accurate and reliable results.
