Job Title: Business Development Manager – Credit Risk Software
Location: Manchester (National Role)
Salary: £50,000 basic, with commission and benefits package

Role Overview:
The Business Development Manager will play a key role in expanding the company’s market presence in the credit risk software sector. The position involves identifying new business opportunities, building strong relationships with prospective clients, and working closely with the internal team to deliver tailored credit risk management solutions. Although the role is based in Manchester, it requires a national approach, targeting clients across the UK.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and Develop New Business Opportunities: Proactively source and pursue leads to generate new business and expand the client base.
- Relationship Building: Establish and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers in target industries to understand their credit risk management needs and present suitable solutions.
- Market Research: Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments to identify potential growth areas.
- Sales Presentations and Proposals: Prepare and deliver effective sales presentations, proposals, and demonstrations to showcase the benefits of the company's credit risk software.
- Collaborate with Internal Teams: Work closely with product development, marketing, and support teams to ensure the solutions meet client requirements and deliver value.
- Achieve Sales Targets: Set and meet ambitious sales targets and KPIs to drive revenue growth.
- Contract Negotiation: Lead negotiations with clients to secure contracts, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements.
- Client Account Management: Provide ongoing support to clients, addressing any issues and identifying opportunities for additional sales.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Experience in Credit Risk Software: At least 3-5 years of business development experience within the credit risk software industry or financial technology (FinTech) sector.
- Proven Track Record in Sales: Demonstrated success in achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
- Strong Network in Financial Services: Established relationships within industries that require credit risk management solutions, such as banking, finance, and insurance.
- Excellent Communication and Negotiation Skills: Ability to engage with senior stakeholders, deliver persuasive presentations, and negotiate contracts effectively.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to identify new market opportunities and develop strategies for business expansion.
- Flexible Approach to Travel: Willingness to travel nationally as required to meet clients and attend industry events.
- Based in Manchester: While the role is national, the candidate should be based in or near Manchester for ease of access to the head office.
