Job title: HR Policy Officer (maternity cover)

Location: Central Oxford (hybrid working possible)

Hours of work: 80% or full time

Start date: early December 2024 for 12 months

About the role

This interesting role offers an excellent secondment opportunity for an internal candidate or a fixed-term contract for an external candidate wishing to broaden their experience of HR in a University setting. You will be part of the friendly and supportive HR Policy Team within the central University HR function. You will have three main areas of responsibility: support for major University committees, policy review and development, and the communication of new and revised policies.

About you

You will have experience in an HR role, giving you an awareness of the principles of HR and an interest in HR matters. You will have good analysis and problem-solving skills and excellent organisational skills. Your communication skills, both written and oral, will be excellent and you will handle confidential material and sensitive issues with discretion.
