Who You Are

You are a highly motivated and committed Main Grade Social Worker with experience in a statutory setting. You possess excellent communication skills, both written and oral, and have good assessment and case management skills. You are knowledgeable about Personal Budgets/Self Directed Support, local and Pan London Safeguarding protocols, and social care initiatives and priorities. You also have good supervisory skills and a sound knowledge of relevant legislation. It is mandatory that you are double vaccinated for this role.

What the Job Involves

You will play a crucial role in achieving the vision of the Royal Borough of Kingston by effectively managing professional Case Management. This involves carrying a caseload, including high-risk cases, undertaking Safeguarding investigations, and attending case conferences as needed. You will handle referrals, perform screenings, and provide information and advice. Additionally, you will conduct initial assessments and reviews of customers with long-term, low-level needs within statutory timelines. You will work proactively with vulnerable adults, liaising with individuals and their carers to assess needs and create outcome-focused support plans, collaborating with internal and external partners to promote independence, choice, and quality of life.
