Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Residential Support Worker to join our team at One Step Care in Newcastle Upon Tyne.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with young adults with emotional and behavioural difficulties, and be able to provide a safe and supportive environment for them to thrive.

This is a full-time permanent position offering a competitive salary of £25,000-£30,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits such as bonuses, company pension, and free DBS screening.

About the Role

As a Residential Support Worker, you will work closely with a small team to assess the needs of each young person, implementing individual care plans and providing supervision and support.

You will build strong relationships with the children in our home, supporting their lives, hobbies, education, and relationships outside of the home.

We are looking for someone with a great sense of humour, who is fun to be around, and has the ability to work flexibly to achieve the best outcomes for our children.

Requirements
  • Ability to drive and hold a current full driving licence
  • Knowledge of Child Protection & Safeguarding
  • NVQ Level 3 Health & Social Care or equivalent
