About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at Disability North. The successful candidate will work with a young adult with autism, providing 2:1 support and helping them to feel safe and supported in the community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement a positive behaviour plan to support the individual's emotional stability
  • Assist with daily living skills and promote choice, control, and independence
  • Work collaboratively with the care team to ensure the individual's needs are met
  • Be physically fit and active, with a valid UK driving licence

Requirements

  • Previous experience working with autistic children or adults
  • Trained to NVQ/Diploma Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent experience
  • Authorised to work in the United Kingdom
  • Resilient, compassionate, and excellent communication skills
