Who You Are

You are a highly motivated and committed Main Grade Social Worker with experience working in a statutory setting. You possess excellent communication skills, both written and oral, and have strong assessment and case management abilities. You are knowledgeable about Personal Budgets/Self Directed Support, local and Pan London Safeguarding protocols, and have good supervisory skills. You also have sound knowledge of relevant legislation and social care initiatives. Being double vaccinated is a mandatory requirement for this role.

What the Job Involves

The job involves carrying a caseload of individuals, including those with high levels of risk, and undertaking safeguarding investigations. You will attend case conferences as needed and support a range of casework for customers with non-complex needs under manager supervision. Responsibilities include accepting referrals, undertaking screenings, providing information and advice, conducting initial assessments, and reviewing long-term, low-level needs within statutory timelines. Collaborate with internal and external partners to maximize individuals' independence, choice, and quality of life, and work closely with the Maximising Independence service to promote positive outcomes for vulnerable adults. Located in Kingston Hub, New Malden and Surbiton, and Chessington Hubs, you will proactively engage with individuals and their carers to create effective support plans. The rate for this position is £32 LTD.
